I have a combination ballet and jazz class, 1/2 each, for ages 6 and 7. I would like to do a combination dance that will be both ballet and jazz.

I have the choice of having them do just jazz, or ballet and jazz, and I would like to do both but in a longer dance that converts from one to the other.

The theme is the calendar and whatever I use, I am going to use one costume or one that I can take off the tutu and it becomes jazz. Not sure yet.

I will accept any and all ideas. You are always such a great help. I can edit anything, too, so just go for broke!! LOL

I know kids bob does alot of covers of things you could probably find a slow song (a contemporaty ballet song) and their faster version.

Reaching here janet, but what if they are New Year's Resolutions?

High School Musical has the song Start Of Something New and I have both the soundtrack copy and a pretty instrumental that would work for the ballet section. It does sound kinda jazzy, so even the whole song could be used?

Both songs are on the Soundtrack of HSM 1

Or...Could they just be a general Birthday? "The Perfect Princess Tea" is cute for Ballet and I have another song called "Happy Birthday Princess" from the Disney Princess Tea Party album. More jazzy than the other. Kids could were anything pink and "princess" like for both dances.

Other than that, I am tapped out with the Calendar theme-sorry...

Ok, I think maybe I am leaning towards St. Patrick's Day or Cinqo de Mayo for our dance. Now I just need some ideas on that. Thanks.
