Any idea when this might be done? I always love their costumes but the catalog isn't in yet and the website still has last year's stuff. I need to pick competition costumes and have been waiting for them.

I remember last year it arriving later than the others. I love their costumes too!

2010 catalog is currently in production. It will be available online for viewing about a week before you will receive it in hand.

They keep getting later and later and I also love their stuff. If they don't get it out soon we may not order from them this year since most classes are already picked

I'm going to the costume show in NJ tomorrow, so we'll see what they have to say. Last year, they had like a mini book with very small pictures and samples of the new costumes. It's really bad how late they are getting.

Anyone have Leo's? That's the other one I'm waiting for. Hopefully they'll have it tomorrow at the show.

I called last month and they said that online would be up before the book arrives. I keep checking the site and nothing... getting really disappointed because we love their styles, but hate waiting this long!

I went to the Dallas Costume Preview Show and they didn't have ANYTHING with them. They had some weird booth set up with a large box with a peep-hole that you were supposed to look through to see something - it was too bizarre for me, really. They have lost my business this year, and any year that they can't learn their lesson and get the catalog out sooner!

While at the costume preview show yesterday, we were told the book would arrive by the end of the month....they had the costumes there but, with no catalog, it was either order it here and now or miss out. All of our costumes will be chosen and ordered by the end of the month!

Ugh....also returned from the costume show in NJ and although they had all the costumes there, most of the lyrical ones didn't even have the prices on them. Just the item number and what other colors the costume came in (have to search for that certain material to see what the other colors looked like)

HUGE disappointment this year. They really didn't seem to care - or were just tired of hearing the same thing from everyone.

I would like to have all my costume decisions for competition costumes by next week.....not from Kelle this year.

Same problem here also, briefly saw the Kelle costumes at the NJ show and without a book to bring home I know we won't be picking any comp team costumes from Kelle this year as we will also finalize our orders next week. I also don't know if I missed some of them but it didn't seem like they had as large of lyrical selection as they normally do. I was looking for some lyrical styles for the 9-12 year old age group and normally they have some really nice styles for this age group but what I saw seemed for older dancers.

Sounds like they don't care about losing tons of business. What a shame. Guess I won't be able to choose any competition costumes from them.

I heard that Kelle is working on their lyrical costumes for the catalog this week. They were looking for models last week. Hopefully soon!!!!

I agree - they really could have cared less that they were the only company without a catalog at the show. It's really something how they managed to bring at least a small book with a price list last year but nothing this year. Bummer.

I'm sure it gets annoying hearing the same complaint from every studio owner but maybe they should take it to heart and do something about it??

They didn't even come to the Atlanta show.

I never order from Kelle because of this issue. Also because their costumes take forever to come in. Maybe if we send this post to them, they will take putting the catalog out more seriously?

I agree with the above posts. How do you go to the costume show and not have catalogs to give out or the prices on the costumes?? Why even go? And its not like this is a freak year and something happened, this is how it is EVERY YEAR.

I peeked through the hole in Dallas & it was a few tiny photos of the new line. None of the lyrical were even available. The 2 people that were there to represent Kelle looked uncomfortable & struggled with trying to sell a line of costumes that did not exist. What can they say? Why attend at all? They skipped Dallas last year & should have skipped it again since they had nothing to offer. I normally order MANY costumes from them, but I think I will skip it this year. I hope they get it together in time next year! They have excellent quality & customer service!

They told me it would be the end of the month. They get later and later every year. We only use them for comp classes and our order info is going out next week to the students. Unfortunatly we love Kelle, but won't be able to use them this year. You snooze, you lose!

I am glad that this post showed up. My SO and I were waiting to pick competition costumes for Kelle, we always buy a lot from them also. I keep checking their website to be updated with the new catalog but there is never anything. I agree they need to hurry up and get with the program. They have reallly lost a lot of business by not having their catalog out. This is also scary because if its that hard to get their catalog out, I am terrifed to see how long it will take to get your costume orders in.

I totally agree with all of you! These companies are aware that we have to get our competition costume orders in! The truth of the matter is that I don't even wait anymore-I order from the first books that come in, that I can depend on to have my orders done in time-Ex: Art Stone, Curtain Call, and Costume Gallery are always on time and have a lot to choose from. I really love Kelle costumes, but they are losing my studio business because they are too late with the book!!!

People are ordering from them somewhere or they wouldn't keep putting their book out so late.

Saw them over the weekend at Chicago and asked if they had a book and they told me it would be mailed out the same time as last year, 1st of Nov. I told them that was too late and to bad and walked off. I didn't even look at the costumes.

Maybe they feel entitled or something and feel like if they keep bringing their book out late that they can 'control' some (maybe not the word I'm looking for). Just seems like they are pretty in love w/themselves to show up to the shows w/nothing in tow and yet they still expect everyone to order.

The 1st of November, are they nuts ?? Maybe if they received enough feedback they would consider getting their catalog done early. I like their designs but feel that the quality of the costumes we have ordered wasn't worth the price.

I will forever have a grudge against Kelle for not helping me out when ONE MONTH before our first competition of the year I discovered I had left a dancer off the class roll and didn't order her a costume. They claimed they could not but would not help me. The kids had to do their first comp with costumes we borrowed from my friend's studio. Yes I know it was my mistake, but they wouldn't even ship me fabric so I could have one made! Seriously- they didn't help me in any way, shape or form.
I haven't really ordered from them since then. Its the same stuff in the same fabrics every year and they are very expensive. I give so much more of my business to Forever 21 ! Seriously, with the exception of ballet classes and baby costumes, I was able to costume a good amount of our pieces through that website. Add rhinestones or a headpiece and VOILA! Gorgeous lyric, jazz, hip hop AND tap costumes....for about 1/3 of what you will pay Kelle, plus you don't have any other schools showing up at comps with the same costume!

I got an email from them yesterday (Oct 29th) saying the catalogue would be online by the end of business day today. It isn't, though I honestly did not expect it to be.

I usually love Kelle's designs, but they're too expensive for our recreational classes, & they come out too late for the competition teams. Last 2 yrs I just threw the catalog in the trash as soon as it arrived--no sense in looking at it & lamenting the costumes we could've had if they'd had their act together. Any good business listens to its customers, especially when NOT listening is costing THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS unnecessarily! Why would you even run a business that way? Just strikes me as shortsighted, or just plain stupid.
