I am doing a CandyLand theme for my recital this year but I am having a hard time locating newer songs that deal with candy. Ive found a lot of oldies, but I wanted some more up to date songs. Anyone have any suggestions, or if you've done this theme and you'd like to share what songs you've used. Thank you so much!

Mariah Careys newest album has a song on it called Candy Bling - I have only heard snippets of it so I don't know if its danceable or appropriate at all- but if you are looking for newer it was just released last month.

Disney's Choo Choo Soul has a cute song we use during our littlest ones hip hop warm-ups called "I like Chocolate"

You could use the theme to Ice Castles and have it be the castle in the board game...

You could also use the Snowflake music from the Nitcracker and call it Snow Flake Lake (where Princess Frostine lives in the game).

As for another fun song, Big Rock Candy Mountain is fun for tap (pre-School).

If you need a cute Pre-School song for ballet, They could use Peppermint CandyCanes Are We...I think that's a Kimbo song? Then they could be the Peppermint Forest in the game.

What about that song from Ferris Bueller that goes "Oh Yeah". That was a Kit Kat commercial wasn't it?? Or some candy...LOL. Or do you only see that song as being a part of that movie??

How bout cookies? Do you want to add that in? If so, there's a great little kid song from Strawberry Shortcake (annoying, I know) that I think is called The Cookie Song. I just know the words:
Oh I smell a cookie baking. Tell me what kind are we making. Lookey Lookey I see Cookie. Cookie cookie Oh!
Or something like that. It is kind of annoying but VERY appropriate and the kids love it. We did it and they wore cook outfits.
