I need to choreograph a one minute ballet routine for a 14 year old boy at an intermediate level. It must be classical music, no lyrics. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most of the Classical Variations are about that length I would pick one of those. You could even base your choreography on the traditional dance using steps more suitable to his level. I did this last year for some of my older girls with the fairies solo's from Sleeping Beauty. Listen to the boys Variations from the Pas de Trois and the pas de Quatre in Swan Lake, they might work.

^ Great idea. You can also look into bands like Bond, Vanessa Mae, the Vitamin String Quartet, and Apocalyptica. They all either do "cool" versions of classical songs, or classical versions of mainstream music.

The Pinnochio sountrack has some beautiful music and would be appropriate for a boy, easy to costume as a puppet etc...
