Teachers - General names for studio levels en>fr fr>en By kiri Comments: 244, member since Wed Jun 16, 2004On Sun Oct 25, 2009 07:34 PM
hey everyone!
I need some new names for my competitive program divisions
I want to try and steer away from junior, intermediate, senior, but I also don't want numbers 1,2,3 or letters A,B,C.
Any great suggestions for group divisions that still sound preofessional while providing a level of status. i want the kids to be excited when they move up into the next level.
thanks! 4 Replies to names for studio levels |

Well, since our company is called Destination Dance Company, we used city names (destinations) for each level. All are places where they are known for performing, London (apprentice level), Hollywood (Beginner level), Las Vegas (Junior level), Broadway (Senior level).
When I had my own school my school's name was Broadway Dance Academy so we had Broadway Dance Teams. We had the Broadway Babes (ages 5-8), Broadway Kids (ages 9-11) and Broadway Stars (ages 12 and up). Each team had two levels, red and blue, red being the less advanced level for that age, and blue being the more advanced level for that age).
I hope that this gives you some inspiration. |

The RAD uses words like Distinction, With Honour, etc. for their graduates. I don't know them all, but it might be inspirational for you. |

We used Diamond (15 and up), saphirre(12-14), emerald (9-11), and ruby (5-8)
each one of those had group 1 and 2, depending on skill level.
The ages were also losely based on skill level as there was a couple 6-7 year old in the emerald group a couple of 10's in the saphiree group ect |
