Okay so long story short more then half of my Christmas costume order is on backorder from Liberts. And they're saying they can't get it until mid January. When I tried picking out something else I got the same response for everything I tried to order in its place. I finally wanted to say okay well - tell me what you do have and we'll go from there! Now I would just say my fault - I waited to long before placing my order, but they did this to me last Christmas and Last spring (And those I ordered almost 6 months in advance). I'm frustrated and don't know where to turn to replace these costumes for my show.

Does anyone have any suggestions of really good sites (inexpensive and FAST shipping) - that don't frist require me to send in proof of profession as we are in such a time crunch. I checked Weissmans- but couldn't find anything that would work for the costumes I'm still missing.

Try Costume Gallery (www.costumegallery.net) They have an in-stock section but a lot of their other items ship right away. I ordered some ballet dressses (not in the instock section) late last week and have already received them. I would call them and ask what holiday items they could ship right away, usually their prices are very reasonable also.

Revolution is another one, only a small selection, but they let you know if it's in stock on their web site.

Since you need them so quickly, couldn't you piece together some costumes using clothes from Walmart or Target or something? When we did a Christmas parade, that's what we always did to save money. Then I would usually make other things to accessorize (like reindeer ears, puppy ears, cardboard presents as props, etc.)

Theyve always been great for me, but I purchase for 20 dancers versus an entire school. Everything has been in stock for me, and the one time they had a lower quantity than i needed, they called me right away to make sure i had what i needed.
