I posted a few weeks back how I was stressing over a performance at the local pumpkin farms that my small company of dancers was set to do and caused one of my dancers to cry during rehearsal when she wasn't getting a particular step. Well the pumpkin farm performances didn't happen due to rainy weather but the local Boys and Girls club wanted the dancers to perform at their Halloween party. My little dancers were fantastic, not perfect, but such a delight to watch and so rewarding for me. They were the hit of the night.
Thanks to all of you who posted to give me encouragement and support! You got me through it!

Yay! Glad you relaxed. They're still little. In a couple of years they will be the amazing performance group you envision. Let it gestate, they'll get there. :)

Thanks I_am_me! I am looking forward to that time and made a decision to enjoy them today as they are!

Excellent decision.

I have been patiently waiting, since I restarted my biz.

I am just beginning year 4 and just yesterday was having a "DAMN! My kids are DANCING!! Wooohooooo!!!" moment.

Even my 6 year olds in hip-hop are sooooo flippin' cute! No more step touch, step touch.

When you finally get from everybody tripping over their feet and looking completely awkward, to watching them cut triples and quads, you get the pleasure of that proud teacher moment. :)

Everybody here kept saying "be patient...it will happen" and it DOES!
