I always believe in dressing professionally for an interview, but am I overdressed in a suit? Heels or no heels? Help-I've got 2 1/2 hours until I leave! 7 Replies to Interview tonight-what to wear! |

Depends on the place and type of job you are interviewing for! For an interview in the arts industry I wouldn't usually wear a suit, but something that shows professionalism and a little personality. Maybe some cute slacks or a pencil skirt with a nice plain t-shirt and a chunky belt.
I would show some style, but stay away from things like denim or overwhelming jewelery as it is still an interview and you don't want to be distracting |

It's at a studio for a dance teaching position-trying to add to my current class load! |

No I wouldn't wear a suit, but a skirt or trousers with a smart sweater or blouse as kaylietess smart but not overwhelming. |

No skirts! I live in MA and it's freezing and raining which means it will turn into freezing rain! ha ha! Currently wearing black pants, cream mock turtleneck with some gathering at neckline and pearl earrings. Lost the suit as too business like, and stared longingly at my jeans! Just wearing zebra stripe ballet flats-no heels in the freezing rain though my pants will prob get soaked! |

Ugh so frustrating! They called me because one of their teachers got pregnant and decided to leave. Hired me, then asked me to come tonight for paperwork but then told me the pregnant teacher may be changing her mind. She just panicked, so they want me to sub for the next few weeks and then see what she decides. Just to vent-I'm not turning down a stable position for a sub position, AND I risked angering my current SO by considering a 2nd studio position, (though she reluctantly spproved it)...Ugh! |
