I would love to know if anyone else has been contacted. Over the past 4 months, our studio has been contacted 3 times by people with different email addresses, who have stated that they are coming to Florida on "holiday" and want to book a dance instructor every day for an extended period of time.

It seems like a total scam and I just keep deleting the messages, but after receiving another one tonight, I thought I'd see if anyone else has been contacted.

Here's what this last one said:

I will be in the country with my friends for a one month vacation.
During our stay, we would like to book for 2 weeks classes for 3 hours each day,Monday to Saturday (morning hours) for 6 persons.
We are asking for 3 hours per day for the 2 weeks-which is a total of 36 hrs.
We would be coming over for a short Vacation and as part of our plans we need dance classes/private lessons in ANY of the following area---Ballet, belly dance including Pre-Dance, Jazz, Tap, Salsa, Swing and Ballroom.
Do you have a training studio/facility where you conduct the classes?
What dance classes do you teach best?

DATE: 5th January 2010 to 23rd January 2010 I would love to get the total cost or a quote/estimate.
What are your payment options for registration? Do you accept credit cards?
We'll be grateful if you'll be willing to do the work to teach quality classes to us and make our visit a memorable and fun-filled one.

Please send a confirmation to this email(AS PLAIN TEXT AND NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT) so that we can know what to do.

Thanks for your input!

Kelli

Scam Scam Scam.
Plus they ask if you accept credit cards...
I kept getitng those too. The first one I, silly me, automatically sent them an application form and requirements to audition. Anyway, they kept asking for lessons for a whole bunch of them (12 dancers...very odd) and we replied again with the requirements for auditions. After the 2nd email I realized it was a scam: all they wanted to know was cost and can they pay by credit card, nothing else interested them.
Just delete those emails. Those people sending scam emails are real criminals.

The information I seen on another dance website was that it was a scam. They are interested in wether you accept credit cards because they somehow (I can't remember exact details it was awhile ago) reverse the info and get into your banking- in other words they steal money from you.

I got an email like this about a month ago. I thought it was a very strange request, so I told the guy I wasn't available.
