So yeah I'm still kind of new to the guard world. Anyways I'm going out for The Academy's color guard(drum corps). I've been dancing all of my life so that covers the dancing experience by far. I also went with Troopers last summer but had to come home do to a really bad illness. And there is the only place I really had my first guard experience.
They were very impressed and were disappointed when I had to leave.
My concern is do you think I'll have a good chance of making it with my little experience?
Just need some advice :)

Well, The Acadamy is world-class, so it will be VERY difficult to join without a lot of experience. But not completely impossible - if you're willing to work your butt off. I joined a world-class guard with almost no experience, but honestly, it almost killed me. If you're willing to devote your entire life to practicing, you might be able to make this happen. Otherwise, you might want to start with a class A guard/corps and work your way up.
