Teachers - Costumes Ordered from DesignWorks = Scared to Death!!! en>fr fr>en By jdance22 Comments: 7, member since Mon Oct 19, 2009On Fri Nov 13, 2009 12:40 PM
Is anyone else having problems with DesignWorks? Their website is down and they NEVER answer their phone. 90% of the time their mailbox is full so you can't even leave a message.
I ordered something from them and the lady who answered said she wasn't in the office and she'd call me back with a confirmation order number. That was almost TWO weeks ago. I've tried to call them every day since then and they've never answered. Due to a FULL mailbox, I've only been able to leave one message.
They promised these would be in before Dec. 1st but now I'm worried they won't be here by that day. If they aren't here by then, I DON'T WANT THEM!
It's VERY frustrating to order from such a non-professional company. You are a business. Answer your phone. Call back your costumers. Follow through.
My advice? Don't order from DesignWorks. Stick with Curtain Call and Liberts!!!!!! 6 Replies to Ordered from DesignWorks = Scared to Death!!! |

good luck with them - If you've read any of the older threads about costume companies you'll know I will tell you to stay far far away from that company. They made my recital a total mess last year - They wouldn't answer their phone back then and always had full mailboxes and the costumes arrived weeks after promised by date and missed two performances and when they finally arrived some had huge brown streaks across the front of a white velvet costume - many others were coming apart before they were even taken out of the bag and then others feel apart the minute the students put them on. More the half of the acsserories arrived broken. And the included headbands for one costume were actually and ribbion cut so short you couldn't even tie it in a knot around a pony tail.
so for anyone thinking about ordering fromt hem I would recommend staying far far away - Since you already did I would recommend making back up plans now and assuming you will not get the costumes.
I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this I knwo how stressful it is! |

I wonder if there's any chance I can cancel my order now! I guess that's pretty hard since they don't answer their phones!
Maybe I'll just order this class something else and hope I can cancel from DesignWorks. HOW FRUSTRATING! |

did you pay with a credit card? If so call the cc company and see if you can reverse the charge. Then report these guys to the BBB. |

Stagewear LA has taken over production for Design Works this year. They are fantastic about on time shipping! Hold out hope that if your order got to them, it will be to you by December 1st. |

I don't deal with costuming, but if this is the case, why not call Stagewear LA and see if they can assist you? Worse case scenario is that you are told "no". |

I have never ordered from this company for this reason alone. |
