Hi Everyone! I was thinking it might be a good idea for those looking to buy a new solo to find all the websites/contact info for DMs in one place! If this is against the rules on DDN because it's advertising, than I'm very sorry and I'll remove this post asap. If not, here's a list of DM websites that I found. Just wondering, are there any ID Dress Makers in South Africa?
I haven't been able to find any so up to now my mom has made my dresses but she isn't so keen to make another one.

Yeah, I've been trying to convince my parents to order a dress from Elevation coz I love their dresses...problem is they are so expensive with the added cost of shipping to South Africa.
Also, my parents are reluctant to order from overseas coz they say they don't want to fork out so much money for something that might not fit or might be uncomfortable etc etc...So how do I go about avoiding these problems as far as possible?

Hmmm, I know that some DMs send a "mock-up" bodice to the customer if they're shipping it overseas, because that's the part that's hardest to fit to the dancer. Even then, it's no guarantee, but I've heard much better reviews about the fit. I'm not sure which do this, but you could always email them and ask.
I'm geographically challenged, but maybe look at DMs in Australia? The shipping costs may be lower and there are some FANTASTIC dressmakers there. Plus, if you go with a smaller dressmaker, they don't charge nearly as much for, in my opinion, an equally beautiful dress.
