ballet and body building.

So I go to the gym about 4/5 times a week because I am obviously trying to put on muscle. I also take advanced ballet classes 2-4 times a week (pending on work and school etc). Now from all the research I have done everyone seems to agree that if you are trying to put on muscle you should keep cardio down to no more than 2-3 times a week for 20-30 mins.
Now, obviously ballet classes are longer than 30 mins. So does ballet count more as cardio or weight training? I would have ballet count for my cardio but I'm not naturally lean enough for that but i dont want to be counter productive either. Has anyone else come into this problem and how did you handle it?

Ballet is a complex, balanced workout. But it is not very heavy on cardio.

By the way... feel free to work out your upper body. But body building in our lower body is completely incompatible with ballet. You have to chose between one or the other.
