Any advice on these? Are they worth doing? We are looking for a good one for jazz and lyrical. We live in NY but will travel even to LA for the right experience. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

In my opinion, SI's are definitely worth the money and effort. Living in NY opens up many many for you to choose from. My dd has attended the Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary SI in the past. She enjoyed it - wasn't too intense. My dd has attended a few SI's, most of them ballet or contemporary oriented.

I guess it depends so much on the age of your dancer and what they want to get out of an SI.

Point Park University has an excellent SI that covers all styles of dance, at many levels. There are 3 and 6 week sessions. (It's in Pittsburgh, by the way.)
