I have a few crystals falling off my dress. They were applied by the DM with a hotfix tool and I don't have one...anyone recommend which glue to use to get them back on? |

e6000, can get it at a craft store and they'll pretty much never come off even if you try to pick them off. |

Just an FYI to everyone New flatback 2058 stones ARE AMAZING~! I ordered some in clear and they are so much brighter You can tell them apart instantly.!! They do not come in hotfix yet but if you are using glue these stones are the way to go!! |

China_Doll: Are the 2058 stones the ones that are replacing the 2028's?
By the way, for anyone in the market for Swarovski's, bluemud.com is having a 40% off sale on selected Swarovski flatbacks, both hotfix and non-hotfix. They have a variety of sizes & colors (unfortunately, not a lot of the clear/AB stones).

I have a glue recommendation for everyone. I use Crystal Clover adhesive.
1. It doesn't have a strong odor like some of the other glues. I know many people love it, but E6000 gives me a headache!
2. The bottle has a narrow point, so no need to transfer it into a syringe.
3. It doesn't dry up in the bottle. My current bottle is half full and still is fine. I ended up throwing out half used tubes of other glues because they'd dry up on me.
4. It dries super clear and doesn't leave a film if you get a bit on a crystal. I'm not the most coordinated person and I find this glue fool-proof.
I get mine from a CO crystal vendor: www.coloradocrystals.com . . . |

I'm ordering 12" x 12" chessboard squares and was wondering if sew on or flatback would be best? There is only a few cents difference between the two. They would be used on velvet.
thanks! |

For the larger crystals, I like to use the sew-on ones. I use a bit of glue on to help secure them, but I like having them stitched to make sure they'll not come loose. |

This Sticky really helped out loads.
I got my Crystals in Downtown LA and bought that E6000 Glue.
And let me tell you that thing works like a Charm.
Now I need to get more Crystals again.
I have these really BIG ones by the Neckline of my Dress but I either thing they are a 44 or a 48 ss.
If anybody could put a Photo of that kind of size it would help loads!! |

yes 2058 are the ones replacing the 2028 they are so pretty the temptation to rip all the stones off Sabre's dress and start over-UGH soooo pretty no hotfix yet but worth working with glue.
as for the large stones- i have out on loads of them with e6000 only and they have never budged- the sew on ones can give you that extra security but the holes bother me- although on the chessboard ones i feel like the holes for sew on would be less noticable. |

Does anyone know if the color chart for the 2058 will be the same as the one for the 2028? Meaning, is the 2058 Siam the same as the 2028 Siam? What is the difference between the old line and the new line anyway? I am asking because I want to get a color chart, and I don't want to buy the 2028 chart if the colors on the 2058 differ. However I can't find a 2058 chart for sale anywhere. Thanks! |

Difference between 2028 and 2058 is in Cut only- the colors are the same- the new stones have a slightly different cut which results in a much more sparkly crystal- the 2058's are to die for- very very pretty stones.
on a side note- anyone looking to buy crystals many 2028 stones are on clearance right now as they phase out the old to the new . DD's dress is mostly 2028's and she is by no means un-sparkly . So anyone on a budget might want to check some different sites to see what the sales look like |

My crystals keep falling off on my dress.. any tips or types of glue that can keep them on? Any ideas as to why this might happen? The dress is not old, I'm the second owner.
It was made in 2008 and in good condition. |

Use E6000 (you can get it at walmart or most craft stores) and use that- it never falls off;) |
