So I have a research paper on the jungle regarding immigration. I've already changed my book twice and I'm sure my teacher wouldn't let me do it again.

The current direction I'm going with is The Jungle and 21st century immigrant's similarities regarding housing, public health and social welfare.

The thing is.... I'm finding a TON of information on immigrants from the early 20st century. But NOTHING on immigrants from the 21st century (unless they are illegal or famous)

So here is the thing, I'm trying to find a way to redo my topic to where I'm strictly dealing with the early 20th century immigrants or something easier to locate in a library. I've thought and though, but I'm not finding anything that could be used, I'm honestly probably not thinking simply at all (my brain wants to make things harder for myself I think).

I'm just asking for some guidance to a new topic that isn't being so difficult to locate. :(
Help?

I have just finished my French dissertation - 3,500 words on the topic of immigration, in particular the Jungle in Calais. I don't know if this will be of any help, if not feel free to ignore it - but I found a fair amount of information on a very similar camp closed in 2002 - Sangette. Info on the immigrants in that camp and the events that followed is quite easy to track down in books, whereas the Jungle is so recent I could find nothing but newspaper articles on it. In my research I found that 21st century immigration is mainly comprised of people fleeing war and conflict - as was the case in the Jungle in France (migrants from Aghanistan and Iraq trying to seek asylum in Britain and lead a better life)
Hope this helps some.
xx
