Here's the deal -
I have a pair of size 6.5 (US) Capezio Dansneakers with taps, that I want to see go to a good home. I can no longer use them, I can't sell them on ebay, they won't sell at my studio (because none of our tap groups wear them, so anyone that got them would have to get new shoes before recital). So I want someone that needs these to be able to use them.
They are in excellent condition. They come installed with teletone taps, that do have a little scratching on the taps, but the taps are also in generally excellent condition.
So here's the deal, and yes, I'm 100% serious about this:
If you can use these shoes, you can enter my talent show. Post a video of you tapping ("you" can be in a solo, duo/trio or group, but if you are a member of a duo/trio or group, make sure that you point out which one you are, so that we know how to watch for you). When you post these videos, for the sake of internet safety, don't give any more details than are totally necessary. For example - "This is our recital video, I'm the third one from the left." is OK. "This is our recital video, this was taped at Ski Jump High School in Vail, Colorado, my name is Vicki Lynn Sasafras, and I live in Vail, and my tap class dances on Thursdays at Main Street Dance in Vail." is way to much information.
After I have a satisfactory number of videos, I'll judge, post the winner, and get with you about the shoes!
I'm not posting an official ending date for the contest, because I'd like to have at least 5 or 6 videos to pick from, and I know that'll take time to collect that many. I'd like to have it done by the end of April though.
