I'm choreographing a jazz duet for 11 yr olds for next year and I was thinking about the song Masquerade by Ashley Tisdale. I found the song after I found a masquerade that I thought would be really cool to use for a dance. do you think the concept is age appropriate and if so how about the song?? thanks for your opinions!

From the lyrics: www.metrolyrics.com . . .

I would say that some of the phrasing suggests at LEAST a 13+ crowd. I would probably save it for 15+ crowd. For the most part, allusions to sexuality are weak, but I wouldn't want an 11 year old listening to 'I don't care if you're naughty or nice' or 'I might like changing myself if you like it.'

I know I am a little late but I used this song this year with my 9 year old jazz trio, the parents loved it!
