Barre

Plies
-These are these same plies as you did two weeks ago. I will be rotating the plies, because I want you to think about the technique, not about getting the exercise right.

Open arm to second, point foot back, for 2 counts
Seven battement en cloche (sweep to front, back, fr, ba, fr, ba, fr, lowering to tendu in front on last one) for 8 counts
Repeat, sweeping back first, and finishing with a tendu to the back, for 8 counts
Close arm and leg, for 2 counts
Repeat on other side

Quick Stretch
-This is the same as the one a few weeks ago

Facing straight ahead, place your foot on the barre
Take your arm to fifth, and bend forward over your leg
Leaving the arm in fifth bend backwards away from your leg
Pivot your body so that you are facing the barre. The leg on the barre should now be in second
With the arm in fifth, bend sideways over your leg
Put that arm on the barre, take the other arm to fifth, and lean sideways away from your leg
Turn and repeat on other side
