I posted in the music search forum several times, but no suggestions, so any good songs for a middle school guy? I would prefer slower lyrical type songs or a jazz song. Anything but hip-hop is fine with me.

Okay, I have a few suggestions but I'm not sure about your taste in music but, anyway:

It Doesn't Hurt - Katie Thompson (good for slow lyrical/jazz)
Pretty Wings - Maxwell (also good for slow lyrical/jazz)
Roslyn - Bon Iver & St Vincent (nice slow melody. Good for lyrical)
Iris - Goo Goo Dolls (good if you like dancing lyrical to rock type songs)
Teardrop - Massive Attack (good for a contemporary)
Eet - Regina Spektor (great for expressive)
