I ushually take three classes a year. 2 ballet technique and a 3rd some what ballet related class (Last year it was pointe on demi pointe because I'm not on pointe yet)

This year I was considering doing character instead of pointe. For ballet technique classes I am taking RAD level 6 classes (not good at them though) but we've never had to do character, as it is ushually a seperate class.

So what character grade should I start at? I was thinking maybe grade 4? what do you guys think?

Why don't you talk to your main instructor to see what he/she would suggest. Maybe staying with pointe would be a better plan for you. Character doesn't go very far past grade 6.

i would take pointe over character, though if you want to have a ballet carrer i suggust taking both classes. The best thing is to talk to your teacher about what level you should be in.
