Hi everyone!
I'm going to my first pilates class on tuesday at my local gym. I've got my rubber mat.. but what do I wear?
I'm guessing like leggings and a top, but what do I wear on my feet?
Thank you

I've taken a few pilates classes before, and I wore capri-length jazz pants things, or shorts, with a tank top or fitted tee shirt. Something you can move in easily and not get too hot in. Breathable fabric would be really nice (think athletic fabric).
As for my feet, I just took the class in my barefeet. In my class though, it was about half and half with bare feet and althetic tennis shoes. I think either would be fine, but I'm no pilates expert |

Ive done pilates a few times at my local gym wearing leggings and a vest top. I wore ballet flats on ma feet. The shoes worked really well for pilates even if I did get a few funny looks xx |

The ladies in our class wear leggings and a comfortable top, we wear compression shirts and shorts but we all go barefoot. |

I usually wear lulu lemon pants, they are very comfy and breathable stretchy spandex. And a Sports tank top. Also, barefoot! |

I wear capri-length yoga pants and a camisole, no shoes.
Also, hair can be a little tricky because you'll probably do some exercises lying on your back, so if your hair is long, I'd do a really high ponytail, and if it's shoulder length or shorter, you might just want to pull the front part back. I just hate lying on top of a ponytail and find it very distracting. |

I usually wear athletic shorts or capri length pants with a tight fitting top. I like to wear tighter clothes so that the teacher (and myself) can see the lines of my body. |

I generally wear a top and leggings (just like you said!)
for feet, everyone basically goes barefoot - as socks make it slippery. |

I usually wear a leotard and tights with jazz pants, but I don't know anyone else who does that. Most people wear close-fitting capri length pants or shorts, with either a tank top or a close fitting T-shirt. (The tank top seems to work better than a T-shirt) And like other people have said, usually you're barefoot for Pilates. Although I've done it with ballet slippers before, and it works fine. |
