How do you feel about performing and do you get nervous? I love performing!! I'd do it every day(: But sometimes I get really nervous.

I don't LOVE performing: but I understand it's importance and respect that importance. I often get nervous, and sometimes get extremely nervous, but that's only because I see the importance rather than the thrill of performing. So, I'm an "other".

I love performing, do it often, and once I overcame nervousness was never bothered by it again. I overcame this by doing it so often it became routine. I really ended performance nervousness when one of my teachers...in a violin masterclass...made every class a performance. We all had to perform every time at our twice weekly class and we often had outside auditors to the class since our teacher was an internationally famous virtuoso.

I get nervous sometimes , but I usually just think about how hard I've worked this year and all of the people that are coming to watch me dance .

I LOVE it! I would go to comps and recitals every day if I could! Competitions are my favorite though!!! I love meeting everyone there!

I love performing I rarely actually feel nervous, but my body tells me I am by suddenly needing to pee really badly! Thats the only 'nerves' I get. Performing makes me so happy brings me so much joy that I'll be really devastated when I finally have to stop

I love performing. Always have, alway will. And I don't ever get nervous. It's weird, I know, but I always get more excited than nervous. I love being on stage and being the center of attention, with the lights on me, and have since I was a baby. I just feel comfortable on stage.

I'm nervous before and wonder what in the heck I've gotten myself into, but then the second it's over I want to do it again!

I voted "doesn't bother me, don't love it, don't hate it" because that answer came the closest. When I was a kid and teen I just LOVED any kind of performance and I've never had any kind of stage fright. Today, I'll do a recital if that's the only way I can take a class which is preparing for one. I'll do anything if it means I can dance more! But performance of any sort isn't the big thrill it once was.

I think the amount of nerves I have is pretty common. I get the normal excited "day off recital" jitters and then right before I go on I'm more in the zone but have lots of adrenaline to burn off. Once I'm up there I know there is no point in feeling nervous and that I should enjoy myself.

The most nerves I ever had was probably my first performanc of ballet after only 10 months of classes. Solos were before group pieces in the festival and I was petrified. My teacher was in the audience, not backstage, so she one of the most senior girls come with me backstage. The girl was quite intimidating, and although I'm fairly sure in the years to come she really didn't like me, haha, she was very nice at that moment. She reminded me that if I'm getting to fast for the musci to really plie and to just smile lots and have fun!

I don't really get nervous, rather I get this excited feeling throughtout my body on the performance day. Right before I am about to go on stage is when my heart starts pounding and I become nervous. Sometimes I forget the dance while I'm waiting in the curtains. A couple of times I've become so panicked that I have to ask others girls what the moves in the dance are. However, once I'm onsatge I always remember.

I just so very much love proforming on stage or in front of my friends.It feels like I should always have been on stage, the feeling of it is so describable

When I was a child I danced on stage and it was great fun. But I was also really nervous. I played some instruments and had a few performances and it was always very exciting and nice to show all the people your talent

I dread it because I get so nervous. But once I'm doing it, it's the best feeling ever! Once it is finished i just want to do it again

But I do get nervous if there's anything I'm unsure about, like a part of the dance or the costume or something. But apart from that I LOVE IT!! I have a show today! I'm sooo excited!!

I'm never nervous for dance performances, oddly. I guess when it is a play and I'm acting, I just feel more vulnerable and more likely to be judged. Once I start to get into though, and I feel the mood of the audience and the mood of my character, I love it. As an actress, I like to have control over the mood in the room. Its powerful!

I love performing. If I'm confident that I know the dance really well, I absolutely don't get nervous, but if I'm feeling a little iffy about it, though, I get pretty nervous but it's nothing unbearable. I most just get excited and hyper and race around randomly hugging people (I do that after shows too ). One of the reasons, though, that I really love performing is that IRL I'm normally fairly shy and self-conscious, but when I'm on stage that all disappears and the real me can show.

For some reason, I get nervous the first time I perform. So like, at recital last year, I did nine dances. The first one, I was so nervous I could hardly stand it. The rest, easy breezy...I've always done that.

I now rarely get nervous. I used to be slightly nervous - but I remember once that at competition I wasn't nervous at all before doing my solo and was freaking out because I thought I'd do worse! To me nervous=good, but when I don't feel nervous, I get kind of angry. Does that make sense??

I really enjoy performing! Very exhilarating.


I definitely get nervous on occasion, but it all goes away once I'm actually on stage.

I love performing. I don't get nervous, but I do get sick. When I was younger and used to do bigger performances, I always had to take the week off school because I was throwing up all over the place.

I much prefer watching my own choreography on stage. There's something a whole lot more fulfilling about that.

I love performing and don't get too nervous as long as I feel prepared. I get horribly nervous and stressed it if it's JUST after I've finished a dance or piece or play or something and have not had a chance to clean it up. I generally prefer performance to competition, although I still do both pretty regularly.
