I recently switched to a mac computer and I am having a tough time finding a software program that is compatible with it. I don't want to spend $40+ a month on a web-based program...I just do not think it is worth that. Anyone find something good for a MAC that is not web based?

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but

I have an apple, and I used google docs, used online registration through a spreadsheet converted to an online form for a while, but then opted for the Studio Director Online because it's features are definitely worth the cost.

I still use google docs for online ticket ordering and google checkout for credit cards since there is no monthly fee like with the Studio Director.

Mac user here. I'm using Jackrabbit now because I wanted to implement online registration. Prior to that, however, I was using Bento to track student info and registrations.

It's a simplified but powerful database tool you can customize to suit your needs. It may be worth your time to download the trial version and try it out.

did NOT want to pay a monthly fee. However, I am now. I use Jackrabbit and am on a Mac. is it perfect? No, but no program will be unless you hire your own programmer to build it for you. It's working great so far. I prefer web based programs so I can do work from home or studio.
