Time of Your Life (Green Day)

Born to Try (Delta Goodrem)

Dream (Miley Cyrus)

All I can think of at the moment, good luck finding a song!

The cover of "Mad World" that Gary Jules did on the Donnie Darko soundtrack makes me cry every single time. "All I Want Is You" gets me teary because that was the song my hubby and I danced to at our wedding.

I think "Graduation" by Vitamin C would be awesome, especially because it is your senior year.

"Happy Ending" by Mika.

A song that almost made me cry was "concrete angel" by martina mcbride, its about child abuse and I think it could really work out quite nicely but it might be a little hard because it is about a young girl but you might be able to make it work.

Hope this helped!

I really think if you want something that has a lot of meaning to you, then it should be a song that you pick, but here are a few. They don't make me cry, but they're beautiful. They're kind of dreary now that I look at them, but who knows...
Also, if we knew what style the dance is that would be helpful. Are you looking for an upbeat emotional, or a slow emotional? Here's a bunch of random ones (like REALLY random ones...maybe you'll find something in there) that portray a lot of different emotion and are different style wise.

The Chain (live from Webster Hall)- Ingrid Michaelson
Make You Feel My Love - Adele
Save You - Matthew Perryman Jones
Indiana - John McLaughlin
First in Line - Matthew Mayfield
Misguided Ghosts - Paramore
Let it All Out - Relient K
When I go Down - Relient K

And check out the Vitamin String Quartet on iTunes. They do string covers of popular songs and I think they're amazing. Yellow - Coldplay (VSQ) and The Scientist - Coldplay (VSQ) are two of my favorites. Good luck!

I wouldn't recommend this song to someone who's not mature, but, as a senior (in high school, I'm assuming), I think you'll find this just fine. It's a very intricate piece of music that, to me, tells a story of loss, then acceptance. That sounds like the end of senior year to me :D

Personally I love With or Without You, which is originally by U2, but I like the cover by Keane.

Well it depends on what kind of emotion that you want to convey, people break down and cry for all different reasons.

The song that always gets to me is 'More than a Memory' by Garth Brooks.

For the piece that you are describing I think that 'The Dance' by Garth Brooks would be an amazing fit.

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain But I'd of had to miss the dance
Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

All of these have very different but deep meanings, some are about breakups, moving through life and being strong. I really encourage you to look at the lyrics. Hope this gives you some ideas!

Jar of Hearts-Christina Perri
Your Heart Will Lead You Home-Kenny Loggins
Dream-Priscilla Ahn
The Chain-Ingrid Michaelson
It's Only Life-Kate Voegele
These Days-Chantal Kreviazuk
Little Wonders-Rob Thomas
My Wish-Rascal Flatts
World-Five For Fighting
We Are the World 25 for Haiti-Artists for Haiti
The Time of My Life-David Cook
Just Stand Up!-I don't know who it is by it was a group of artists, it was played on a cancer special on tv-it has such great meaning!

^^That song just stand up was a compilation of a bunch of artists that included Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, and a bunch more women. If you go to itunes just type in just stand up and it comes up with Beyonce's name first and lists them all. I've seen that song done before and you can do a lot of cool things with it and make it very emotional :)

Hmmm... well you'd probably have to edit out the end as it is by a rock band and they, even in their most emotional song, do scream... Apology (acoustic) or Early Mourning by Alesana always make me cry. Also, Hurt by Christina Aguilera works, and I don't know if this one would work for a dance but I think its called 'You Can Let Go Now Daddy' and its definitely a tear jerker.

My Old Friend
Artist(Band):Tim McGraw

My old friend, I recall
The times we had hanging on my wall
I wouldn't trade them for gold
Cause they laugh and they cry me
Somehow sanctify me
They're woven in the stories I have told
And tell again

My old friend, I apologize
For the years that have passed
Since the last time you and I
Dusted off those memories
But the running and the races
The people and the places
There's always somewhere else I had to be
Time gets slim, my old friend

Don't know why, don't know why
Don't know why, don't know why

My old friend, this song's for you
Cause a few simple verses
Was the least that I could do
To tell the world that you were here
Cause the love and the laughter
Will live on long after
All of the sadness and the tears
We'll meet again, my old friend

Goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye

My old friend, my old friend
Goodbye, goodbye.
