I currently use Bloch Balance Europeans - they're a really nice pointe shoe, easy to break in and quick to mould to your feet. Only problem? Hardly any store in Singapore sells them off the shelf. My initial pair cost AUD $90 - that is crazy. Most pointe shoes in SGP cost about $40-$49, yes Singapore is the place to buy pointe shoes.
Sadly I need another pair in about a month and ..
1. Shipping from dance distributors/discount dance supply and such would add up to nearly $170 SGD
2. Buying from Aus would be $120 SGD
3. I missed the deadline to preorder my pointes to have them cost about $47.

Preorder? Yes. preorder. Wonderful Sonata orders in pointe shoes every 3-4 months and even us ordinary dancers can order from them!! Sadly I won't be able to utilise this service intime for exams, but I hope everyone else who needs special pointe/shoes can, to avoid the mess I am in now.

I found my balance europeans from the Bloch shop in Sydney, where the girl in the shop spent about an hour fitting me. I love the balance europeans, but i will probably grow out of them in about a year or less.. May i suggest them to beginners with not so great arches and tapered toes? If you're offered Blochs Suprimas, but you find the box really small, then try the balance europeans :)

Speaking of which, anyone want anything from Bloch Australia? Asking my parents to get me pointe shoes - i've no other option.

Dance from your soul :)
