Yeah this pretty much explains itself...I have troubles with cradles its not that im afraid of not being caught its just everytime I go to do one its over before I have time to find out what I did wrong and what I did at all!
I have been told to as soon as i cant feel the bases holding me slap my ankles (not literally) together and then shoot them foward. I havnt tried this yet but I will any other advice before I go to cheer camp in 3 days? 2 Replies to Cradle 1, 2...FAIL |

Maybe you could practice on a trampoline. Without using the "rebound" of the trampoline, focus on going into the cradle position and land sitting down. Pretend you have two bases. This will force you to use the good muscles and not rely on them throwing you in the air. If you don't have one, maybe go to some open gym class for an hour or so.

Make sure you are tight and not looking down, the tighter you are the easier it will be for the bases to throw you, then you will have time in the air. And make sure you sit in the air so the bases can catch you. Hope this helps! |
