I'm starting private gymnastics lessons. Any suggestions for certain flips and things i should ask to learn? It's specifically so i can learn certain things of what i want, not a regular gymnastics class. Technically i'm not a gymnast. I can do some of the things because i'm a dancer so i have the flexibility and i used to take, but this is just to help with dance. Any tips? Thanks! 2 Replies to Acros leaps, flips..stuff for dance. |

Some good beginning and intermediate gymnastics moves to learn would be...Cartwheels, roundoffs, front and back walkovers, backbends, and handstands. They'll help with your balance, and your back flexibility. |

For dance you should be focussing on back walkovers, front walkovers, aerials, Back handsprings (both standing and from a round off and front handsprings. As well as holding your handstands, presses and handstand walking type skills. |
