I'm starting private gymnastics lessons. Any suggestions for certain flips and things i should ask to learn? It's specifically so i can learn certain things of what i want, not a regular gymnastics class. Technically i'm not a gymnast. I can do some of the things because i'm a dancer so i have the flexibility and i used to take, but this is just to help with dance. Any tips? Thanks!

Some good beginning and intermediate gymnastics moves to learn would be...Cartwheels, roundoffs, front and back walkovers, backbends, and handstands. They'll help with your balance, and your back flexibility.

For dance you should be focussing on back walkovers, front walkovers, aerials, Back handsprings (both standing and from a round off and front handsprings. As well as holding your handstands, presses and handstand walking type skills.
