Australia - General copyright stuff en>fr fr>en By thedancecreative Comments: 95, member since Mon May 18, 2009On Sat Aug 14, 2010 08:50 PM
Just wondering what the deal is with copyright law in Australia. I'm in QLD, and can't find alot of clear info - for example if I wanted to teach a section of a musical as a performance (with my own chorey and singing, but their words and music) would I have to pay royalties and such? I can find heaps of american info but wondered how it was here as well. Thanks! 1 Replies to copyright stuff |

You need APRA. It can get complicated depending on the type of performance (for example you usually don't have to pay royalties if it's a charity performance, but the same piece for a non-charity performance you do). APRA should be able to tell you exactly what you need.
Otherwise ask your state Ausdance office. They should be able to help you as well. |
