Thank God some of you don't live in California. If you went the speed limit or only 5mph over the speed limit on our freeways (yep, all of them, from the 101 to 5 to 580 to 405 to 10), you'd be dead in a heartbeat. You'd be a safety hazard to yourself and everyone around you. If it says 55, you must be going at least 65. At LEAST 65. If you're in the fast lane, you must be going 70. This is not an option, it's not a recommendation, it's a requirement. If you don't, you will be hit or cause someone else to be hit. On Highway 5, the posted sign is 70. That translates to at LEAST 78-82 in the fast lane (there are only 2 lanes). The slow lane is for trucks going 55-60. The fast lane is for everyone else going 78-82 (...or 90). If you're not willing to go well above 70, stay in the slow lane.

And, for the record, if someone is riding your butt, it's because you're going WAY too slow. At least that's what it means in California :] Just move over, please!
