I know I am very young. I'm only 11 but can do spilts, toe touches, leaps and I have been dancing for 7 years. I will be easy to hold up and throw.[ like as a cheerleading stunt]I work hard and I also have gymnastic skills. I'm very close to my back hand spring but can do a front hand spring-round off-split. I love to have fun and go to new places. I could do this for free or for pay. I know I'm very young but consider it please. Thank you so much for your time.

unfortunately, cruise ships will only hire people 18 or over since they are equal opportunity employers. However, if it is for a special event, such as a dance showcase, they will allow it.

I am a hiphop/street jazz/lyrical/dance team teacher in austin.I am the first boy in austin to be on a drill team and be in all-city,company,and state dance team. I have been teaching for 3 years professionally and I really want to travel the world at any cost. I will do anything to achieve my goals and dreams and hopefully a cruise can make my dreams come true.

go to different cruise line web pages. You have to do your research. Find employment opportunities, or contacts. write to the person in charge and let them know you are interested in the job. Audition is mandatory. And also if you are hired you have to sign a 8 month contract or so.... you have to work for a certain period of time and you can't quit. Pay ranges between 1 and 2 thousand a month, and the dancer also have to take on other jobs on the ship..such as hosting different events and such. So acting skills is a plus. And of coarse you live on ship for the entire period of your employment. Just a litttle information for you out there interested. And I promise, no matter how good of a dancer you are, they won't even give an audition if you are not at least 18. Before you can do anything however, you must have a headshot and a resume.

I haven't danced on a ship yet, but i have talked to the people who hire as well as dancers on the ship, i was interested, and wanted to audition but i would have to drop out of college, and i wasn't positive about it, but i would love to do it. i am actually thinking about it now, so i can save money and go to school in new york or los angeles when im done.

You totally should.... it's the best way to save money even though the shows are a little cheesy. I met and now know tons of people who i danced with who are in touring companies and in new york and la performing so you would be headed in the right direction. I only did it for 2 years.

My contracts were all for around 6 months each and i did 3 different ships. We made about $1850-$1900 a month depending on how good you are and how much experience.

sorry,.... You don't have to pay for anything on board like food, room and all that. I'm canadian so i didn't have to pay any taxes and whatever i didn't spend in the different ports of call i took home! You can make about $10,000 after a 6 month contract minus all of spending.

I quit because after 2 years of doing the same kinda stuff, you really need a change and so i'm just finishing up college. The audition isn't hard unless you have trouble picking up the steps quickly. Alot of the cruiseship thing is the "look". Some lines want you to be short some tall.... our production company weighed us in every week so that we'd be the same weight as at the audition.

Hey,
My dance company is doing a show for Carnival cruises.
you would have to be on a team or for a special event to be under 18 and perform on a cruise. well.... work really hard and become the best you could be so when u are 18 you can really perform.
good luck
kel
