Hello all - I am new to Dance.net and the teachers' forum. I currently direct a school in Connecticut (on the NY border) and am doing research on a dance pedagogy project. Looking forward to meeting you all. Anyone from Connecticut here?

Hummingbird - my wife grew up in Canada and my father-in-law still lives there...Ontario. Also did some guest teaching out in Moose Jaw many years ago. That is about the extent of my Canadian travels. Love it though.

haha...good old Moose Jaw. I've driven through there a few times on travels between Edmonton and Regina. Currently live in the Pacific Northwest but spend a lot of time in NY and MA. I've worked in CT, but that was several years ago.

Anyway, welcome to the Forum.

Terps - where in CT does your daughter teach? I am in Ridgefield - right on the NY/CT border. About an hour north of NYC.

Dream Chaser - thanks for the warm welcome here. My syllabus is in Dance Teacher Magazine this month!

I have to say I really don't know Canada that well, I've only been here 4 years, we keep saying that we're going to explore a bit but we never seem to find the time.
