I think I'm more likely to balls-up with a reverse round a corner, but I'm happy enough with either of the other two. I keep forgetting to straighten my wheels at the end though (or actually I forget how many times I've turned the wheel so I think they're straight and they're not) so in an ideal world, turn in the road.

Not in the UK, but I voted three-point turn. You guys have to reverse around a corner? Cheez-its, that sucks. The worst we can get on a driving test in my area is parallel parking, and not all DMVs make you do that. |

I am struggling so much with my reverse round a corner :/
Parallel park is difficult but i really hope that i get the 3 point turn !!
After numerous talks with my instructor though it seems that the testers around here (Lancaster) normally check the reverse round corner or parallel park. So i best get practicing haha

I got turn in the road and reverse round a corner on my test. My turn was awesome, and my reverse was pretty good too, but I got so confused about which was to turn the wheel to straighten up at the end, so I wiggled down the road a bit until he said "ok, ok, that'll do. Drive on".
I cannot for the life of me do a parallel park anymore. I'd gladly drive a mile down the road and find somewhere else to park than embarrass myself parallel parking! |

You missed bay park? That was what I had on my test, along with turn in the road.
I was so nervous about doing a reverse around the corner, as my last 6 lessons I had completely mucked it up. You can imagine my fear on my test when she said we would be doing a reverse round the corner! However, the corner she planned to do it on had a car parked there, and so did her 3 backups, so we done a turn in the road instead! She accused me of paying them to park there haha... I just felt so lucky And i passed! |

Bay park isn't on the syllabus, unless you parallel park into one. A bit daft really as people bay park much more often than they'd do any of the other manouevres - I'm going to go down to the local business park and practice with Tim I reckon. I just about coped parking in the Bullring the other day, although I scraped my hubcaps after I came through the ticket barrier. D'oh! |

Turn in the road definitely. I got the hang of it really quickly and it was my best one. Reverse round the corner was fine but parallel parking... I was so hit and miss with it, sometimes I'd do it great other times I'd muck it right up. Luckily I got turn in the road and reverse round a corner on my test. |

^ Not all the test centres have the facilities for a bay park, so that's optional on whether your test centre has a private car park you can use (they're not going to expect you to go and test your parking in Asda on a busy week day)
I voted turn in the road, I can do the other two alright but I mastered the turn in the road pretty quickly. |

Not from the UK.
The driving place that I went too, never made me do any of those! The hardest thing that I had to do was pulling up next to the sidewalk, and making it withint 12 inches from the curb. |

I had to parallel park and back around a corner on my test. I was really close on both of them but they're super nit-picky so I still got points off. Luckily I still passed! |

I had to parallel park and do the 3-point turn for my test (and reverse park). Over here women never have to reverse around a corner at a driving test which was lucky for me because I totally sucked at it. My three brothers all had to do it though. Parallel parking was not my favourite although I was fairly good at it, but if I had to choose, the 3-point turn was easily my favourite, it was so easy! |

A Bay park is, in theory, the same as a reverse round the corner. Which is the worst thing to try to do. Though now I can't remember how to parallel either!
Oh well, I've passed a couple of years now. I think. Yeah, two years, in November some time. So I don't need to worry, and for bay parking, I just swing out into the other side, so I can point the car in easier! It's not like they're ever anywhere other than a 20mph car park! Ok, so there are some in the town square here, but no one even abides by the lines on them... it's too difficult! They really should be slanted with the slope of the hill taken into consideration. |

It's been over 30 years since I had to take a driving test so I really don't know. A U-turn was the most complicated move on my travels today. I guess I pick the reverse around a corner just because I back out of a driveway everyday.

I got Turn in the road (which I actually managed to do in three! go me!!) and the reverse round the corner. I was pretty pleased with both as they were my best manoeuvres, I sucked at Parallel parking at the time so I was dreading getting that one.
I put turn in the road as I still think that's my best one, I use it a lot more than most things. Although I use all of them a fair amount so I'd be confident doing any of them now.
Saying that, there is NO way on earth I'd pass my driving test now. I have far too many bad habits

why do you have to do the reverse round the corner thing anyway - is it something you have to do often as part of everyday driving |

I think we have to do it wholly because it's something that you're more likely to have to do in an emergency situation, and thus it's good to have practiced it to a high level.
I think I'd most like to get turn in the road. |

I was hoping for reverse round the corner on mine as I always had to do that in my road to turn around when I was practising so I was confident with it, what I didn't want was reverse bay park but fortunately before my test my driving instructor went through them all with me and I got the bay park but it went perfect thankgod! lol

On my test I did turn in the road, which was always my best one so I was pleased! Although I probably got a minor for it, because I forgot to put the car in gear... nerves took over! I was dreading getting a reverse bay park because I could never get the reference point and even on the lesson before my test I couldn't do it. But on the day I just about passed it Ask me to do it now though and I's muck it up bad! |

Voted turn in the road, but I was unlucky enough to get parallel park and reverse round a corner on my driving test last year. |

Not in the UK, but I got parallel park AND reverse around a corner on my test. I purposely took the corner wide because its 2 points off if you are too far away from the curb, automatic fail if you hit it. |

I voted parallel parking as that is the only one that wasn't a requirement of the test when I passed in 1984 and I would have loved to be able to do it then! |
