rolling your hips!

hey! how are you guys?

I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to "roll your hips" better, i just look uptight when i'm dancing cha cha. no one has ideas?

the way I learnt was to start from your feet and then just let your hips go. If your using you feet right, i.e. stepping on the toe and then rolling onto the heel, and making sure you straighten your leg the hip action should come naturally, you don't want to force it.
It also helps to do exercises slowly. Just do basic chachacha without any music and work on your feet and letting your hip roll onto the straightened leg.

TRy to not think about it as much your probably trying to hard and getting stiff!

if you practise just rolling your hips seperatley first by trying to make a figure of 8 with your hips.
