In your first class; you would probably be doinq rolls, cartwells, round-offs. The highest you would probably go is a back-walk over, but other than that you should be fine. |

they will probably also show you stretching and conditioning exercises like the proper way to do a push up etc. For the other events you probably won't be doing too much, you might not even go up side down at all. For beam they'll probably have you do things like walks, kicks, turning around etc. Bars will likely involve testing your strength t hold your self up. Some swinging, jumping to front support etc. For vault you might not do anything that involves the vaulting table (formerly known as the horse) at first. You might do some sprinting on the runway, jumping on a little trampoline, jumping up onto mats and jumping off etc. They mgiht also have you on a regular sized trampoline or tumble track to show you the different types of jumps and stuff like that. |

ENJOY everything about it. Gymnastics is really fun just go with it. Some of the things that they might go over could be your main floor positions (tuck, pike, straddle, squat), your landing position (It is very important to know how to land), falling safety (in this beautiful sport we all fall and its best to know how to do it safely). The begining of a lunge (this is a very important part of the sport a lot of our skills finish or start in one). I hope this helps a little. Once again HAVE FUN you will enjoy it. |
