I need some suggestions for some peculiar sounding music WITHOUT lyrics that would be good for a contemporary dance. Even if they're not peculiar, just music without lyrics that doesn't sound classical... I have such a hard time finding music like this!! I feel like some contemporary teachers have such an array of cool music on their ipod and I can never find anything...
any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated! :)

Rodrigo and Gabriela are a guitar duo that do some really cool stuff, I particularly enjoy their cover of Oogie Boogie's song from the Nightmare Before Christmas.

Last year we danced to Invaders Must Die by the Prodigy, and that turned out pretty well. [EDIT: I just found that we cut out a small section that did have lyrics, but our version did work well]

Some of the music from Cirque du Soleil songs is really exciting and doesn't sound classical at all.

Running One from the Run Lola Run soundtrack could work for a contemporary dance too.

I'm sure other people will have far more ideas, but those were just a few I found from a quick squizz through my iTunes.

Any song from Cirque de Solie <- im not sure how to spell that. I know that this song has lyrics but Eyes on Fire is a great song... you could try looking up their karaoke version or something.
