Act 5, dance 5
Triton, Sebastian, Ariel & Eric

Ariel and Eric are embracing in the centre of the stage. Eric is standing in the front half of the stage(where the ‘land’ is, there will be yellow light here), Ariel on the back half of the stage(where the sea is, there will be blue light here).Triton is watching them from the left side of the stage. Sebastian isn't on stage yet.

1-8 Ariel does a pirouette while Eric holds her hand. Eric(who is facing the back of the stage) does deboulé, temps lié(arms end in 4th, left arm open) to right. Ariel does deboulé, temps lié(arms end in 4th, right arm open) to left. Ariel pas courrus to Eric and hugs him.
1-8 Ariel & Eric: Eric does deboulé, temps lié(arms end in 4th, left arm open) to the front. Ariel does deboulé, temps lié(arms end in 4th, right arm open) to the back. Ariel & Eric pas courru towards each other and embrace.
Triton: pas coupés(as many as you can do in 2 counts), assemblé to right, pas coupés, grand assemblée to left.
1-8 Triton: Plié in 4th, double pirouette, pirouette à la seconde, chassé, 2 grand jetés towards Eric & Ariel.
1-8 Ariel: 3 piqués en tournant to Triton, reverence. She walks Triton to Eric. Eric kneels for Triton. Triton smiles at him and nods. Ariel & Eric embrace.
1-8 Triton(facing Ariel & Eric): towards back of the stage: pas de chat, arms in 1st. Échappé, arms to 3rd(right arm open). Towards front of the stage: pas de chat(arms 1st), échappé (arms 3rd, left open). Pas de cheval en arrière, open left arm. Smiles to Ariel & Eric and makes a ‘demi-reverence’ for them.
1-8 Ariel & Eric embrace again. Sebastian pas courrus on stage to Triton with his sceptre and hands it to him. Ariel: 2 piqués en tournant towards left. Triton directs his sceptre towards Ariel. We see a big lightflash.
1-8 Ariel chaînés off stage. Eric is still amazed by the lightflash and stares at the place where Ariel stood. Some people that aren’t in this dance help Ariel backstage with taking her mermaid costume of and putting her dress on.
1-8 Ariel does 3 grand jetés, coming on stage(in the front of the stage). She makes a double pirouette à la seconde and runs to Eric.
1-8 Triton gives his sceptre to Sebastian. Eric and Triton shake hands. Triton gives him a pat on the back. Ariel reverences for Triton. Sebastian and Triton walks off stage.
1-8 Ariel and Eric stand in right croisé. Ariel, while Eric holds her hand: Developpé en avant, enveloppé, developé to right, envelope, developé en arrière, supported arabesque
1-8 Ariel: Supported arabesque penchée, back to arabesque, Eric promenades her.
1-8 Ariel & Eric (holding hands and facing the audience): 3 slow steps, fouetté à terre, repeat.
1-8 Ariel & Eric: Both have arms in 4th, right arm open. Ariel stands in front of Eric and Eric holds her hands. Pas courru to left, supported piqué arabesque
1-8 Ariel & Eric: Repeat to right(arms in the other 4th).
1-8 Ariel & Eric: 2 supported petit jetés, 2 supported grand jetés. You are now standing in the middle of the front part of the stage.
1-8 Ariel: Plié in 4th, double pirouette. Eric then does: chassé side, grand temps lié to right, pirouette à la seconde
1-8 Eric & Ariel, to the right corner in front: 2 chassés, 1 grand jeté(both), 1 supported grand jeté(Ariel). Then back to centre of the front part of the stage: 2 chassés, 1 supported grand jeté. Eric then turns himself & Ariel so that they’re watching the front of the stage again. Ariel has her arms in demi bras, Eric holds her hands(so they sort of embrace).

Heather(Triton) does her part! Looks great Bianca!

Sarah begins to go over her part as Sebastian.
