I need a song with a good beat that is very dynamic to do an audition solo for high school. I've gone through tons of songs (at least 40) but none of them have worked. I need it to not be a common song that many people dance to... I've looked at a wide range of songs and 2 that I like are The Garden -Mirah and Try - Asher Book. Also I would love some advice on dance auditions because I'm very nervous about this one. Thanks!

Also, as for advice on the audition, just relax and be yourself. Remember that they are not only looking for your talent/ability but your willingness and determination to try and succeed. Everybody else there is going to be just as nervous as you, so you're all in the same boat. So just get up there and dance like nobody is watching! If you stumble or mess up, remember that this is your solo, so make it seem like part of the dance. Good luck to you!

Look into Regina Spektor, her album "Begin to Hope" has some interesting music. Also, have you played around with the playlists on intunes? If you go and look at an artist like Regina, or Kare Nash, or Adele, you look on the left side and it will give you a bunch of playlists with similar music.

As for your auditioning process, just stay rehearsed and when the day comes, make sure you've done everything in your power to be as ready as you can so whatever the outcome you know you did whatever you could to be in the program. If it's the right program for you you'll be fine! If not, it wasn't ment to be and you will find your place. Have faith in the process!
