This is a WIP of the poster with Hermione and Slughorn, though I've decided just to work on Hermione.
This is my second full-fledged realism drawing, so comments are appreciated, as are helpful critiques, but I know that the quality isn't as high up as many on here.
I darkened it with Picnik (new Mini, I don't have photoshop installed yet) to revive it to it's real life colourings because my scanner totally killed it.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for something that could help me improve it--regarding that's my second one, but I'm trying to wean towards dance-photos. |

The biggest thing I see is that you need to work on proportions. For example, each eye is the same size as the bridge of your nose, or the space between your eyes. She also doesn't have a jaw.
I like your shading of her nose. I always was bad at drawing noses! |

Thank you.
I attached another picture that's more updated. My scanner didn't agree with me this time and the photo appears far more grainy than in real life.
Thanks for the input, I am trying to push myself a little more, (even though this is only my second drawing), and it's an odd angle in which the reference kind of cuts off and rather than gridding like I did my last one, I'm doing freehand. I think her jawline will appear when I shade the outside of the mouth. The biggest thing is for me not to get discouraged because of all the bad parts haha. |

Wow, that's really good. It makes me want to get back into drawing, though I've never really been able to draw anything lifelike...
We'll see I guess.
But yeah, I can't wait to see it when it's finished if you decide to share it. |

Wow, I really like it! I'm always jealous of people who can draw faces and make it look like a human - mine never work out that way, somehow, haha. |

I read this as "Emma Watson RIP" and had to do a double take.

I was always horrible at drawing people and faces and making them look realistic. I like yours, especially the one that was darker. That one looked more realistic. Nice job! |
