I just lost my job so while I am looking for new employment which hopefully won't be long and be more secure, I need ways to make money. I mean obviously the most obvious way is to get a job but I need other ideas while I look for a job or two. Please help

Sell some of the things you don't need?? I know I have lots of clothing that I could probably get rid of, and while it's nice to donate, it's also nice to have a bit of extra cash when you don't have a job.

I'm not too sure what else. I've been thinking of that. Right now I'm in college and only work 11 hours a week but I don't want to work more because of school.

Otherwise, you could look at ways to save money instead. That's easier to do then try to make money without a job. Use coupons, buy things on sale, don't impulse buy, etc.

The easiest way to make a little money is to have a clear out. Either sell things at a car boot sale or on eBay

Do you know anyone who needs:
a babysitter
a dog walker
a person to take them to doctor's appointments
a house sitter
grocery shopping
house cleaning
yard clean up
odd jobs
tutoring

If you like elderly people you could advertise your services at the local senior citizens center and retirement homes. My grandma could use someone like you! She has a hard time finding someone to drive for her.

Ask around. Ask friends and family, people on facebook, people you meet in the store...you never know who may need your help and be willing to pay decent money for it.

As per the snow shovelling thread, if you live in a cold part of the US at the moment, there's money to be made shovelling.
