I want to buy some more yoga tapes for my husband and I to do together (and me on my own.) Anyone have any personal suggestions? I have a few with Rodney Yee, but some of those are too hard for my husband who is a beginner.

I was really hoping you'd get some good suggestions. I, too would like a good, slow paced yoga tape/DVD. The one I have is way too fast. I'd even settle for a book with a chart and some accompanying music. Sure miss my class!

My mom really likes Baron Baptiste. She has a core strength DVD and a beginner one as well, I think. Actually, my aunt recommended them to her, so she likes Baron as well. They both do yoga pretty much every day.

Hope this helps! :)

I've got a couple of good ones, put out by Gaiam:

Yoga for Beginners, with Patricia Walden
Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason
AM/PM Yoga for Beginners (10-minute sessions) with Rodney Yee

When I remember to do them regularly, I find them pretty good. The Weight Loss one has four different presenters, demonstrating different modifications for each pose, so if your husband is finding a full pose challenging, there are alternatives demonstrated, too.

www.yogajournal.com . . .

These are very thorough and beginner friendly. I have recommended these to friends in the past who purchased them and were very pleased.

There is a YogaWorks DvD from Exercise TV that is a great beginners workout. They explain allot of the moves in detail so beginners can do them correctly. I still like to do this workout I just modify some of the moves and do the more advanced ones instead when my wife is doing the easier steps.
