I'm wanting to do a ballet dance for my school talent show. I was thinking of doing more lyrical ballet. Since this is going to be performed for people who don't really have any interest necessarily in ballet, I want to do impressive steps. Besides choreographing the dance well, what types of steps should I include that would impress people outside of the ballet world? I'm thinking of doing it on pointe, but I'm not sure, because I'm able to do more pirouettes and stuff off of pointe.

Also, what type of costume should I wear? I don't really want to wear a tutu.

Any suggestions?

This isn't really lyrical...but I think it would be a wayyy cute and entertaining song. "Musicbox" by Regina Spektor
