Do It Yourself How to dull PVC? en>fr fr>en By Leah Comments: 934, member since Thu Feb 26, 2004On Wed Feb 09, 2011 09:54 PM
So I have a black PVC bag that is a little glossy that I would like to make look more matte. Anyone have any ideas? I tried nail polish remover and that didn't seem to do anything, and I tried some steel wool but that left marks where I tested that I don't want on the rest of it! And before anyone suggests parade gloss- I won't do that because I will of course get it all over my clothes when wearing the bag!
Any shots in the dark are welcome 1 Replies to How to dull PVC? |

I think you were on the right track, you just went too coarse. I would try some VERY fine sandpaper on it. A nail file might even work. If it works and you do the whole bag with it, don't forget to wipe the bag down with a damp cloth after, or else you will have PVC dust everywhere. |
