I'm just curious to see how many people actually still wear the old style 3-panel dress in competitions. I do, but I don't see that many other girls that do.

My current Teams Dress is a 3 Panel and it magnificent - it's so gorgeous! My Solo Dress, however, is not.

I voted yes, because while I do not currently have a solo dress, I already have designed my own for when I may have one and it's a three panel. It's lovely. Call me old fashioned but I LOVE the three panels

I don't, so I voted no, but I did until I got my new solo last year!

Mine is a three panel, but I am currently working on making a new soft skirt for it.

My old dress was a 3 panel and I LOVED it, still do and I do like some of the modern 3 panels but there's no resale value on them at all. Gavin made some gorgeous 3 panels a few years ago.
I don't think that wearing a 3 panel dress will "drag" your scores down unless it drags your dancing down. The girl who came 2nd in my Oireachtas wore a 3 panel and she also placed in the top 10 at Nationals.

I wear a three panel but it's a school dress. It hasn't affected my scores (I've placed above girls with solos, both new and old). The only thing I don't like: it's difficult to lean/reach over the skirt when I need to do a quick shoe change.

I voted no, but actually right now I am between solos, and if I don't get the new one in time for my next feis I might have to wear my school dress, which is a 3 panel
I do think some of the modern ones are pretty (butterfly dress also a few of the Elevation ones) and the really old-school ones with the traditional emroidery are lovely, but I wouldn't really want to wear one.

I voted yes, but I don't know how much longer I will be in one. My school dress is a 3 panel, and I am looking at getting a solo, which is also a 3, but not sure if my teacher will be game for it. So we'll see!

same as above...my solo is a tutu (well more like ruffles) and my school is 3-panel.

My school dress is the only one I have so far- I dance as an adultand wear a US adult size 14, so it's not easy to fine one in my size. The school dress is an" inverted" 3 panel (the center panel is under the side panels, looks like a 2 panel if I'm not moving). I'm designing a 3 panel if I can get it made. I'm also looking at a few 5 panel with softer underskirt dresses that are my size.

Yes I do. It's the only 2 dresses I have at this point. My school dress is a 3 panel too.

I prefer the split panels from days of yore, or the multi-panels though.

Update. I'm getting a new solo, scheduled to be delivered in 5 days (YAY) and it is a 4 panel. Still have the inverted 3 panel school dress though.
