okay so I posted this on the "20 something" forum too, without realising I could here..
Anyway, I have two years professinal dance training and I am in my final year studying acting and dance. I am looking into going to train at Broadway Dance Center in NYC in 2012 as Ive been before, fell in love with the place and it would look great on my CV. They have an international visa programme which enables you to do the course there for either three months, six months or a year. You can extend your visa if you want to. The only problem is, you cannot work on the visa they give you. Which is rubbish. I cannot afford flights from UK, the course itself AND accomodation for six months without an income!! I just wondered if any of you have any advice on how to get a normal visa which I can work on to stay in New York for up to six months? I know its meant to be really difficult but this would be so much better. Id be able to earn money etc and do the course at the same time?
If theres any New Yorkers on here with any advice on cheap places to stay that would be brill too!!
Any advice given will be appreciated!! Thank you. |
