Just sore toenails. They're not bruised but because of the way my shoes appear to work, the toenail top gets more sore than anything else.

nothing super horrid so far... blisters were common in the first couple of months (but that's expected, right?). I don't really get any now that my feet have toughened up a bit more. I have some corns but that's pretty much it. for a while I thought I was getting bunions but mow I think that's just the hypochondriac in me haha ^_^

Bruised toenails was my biggest issue until I found the right pointe shoe. I have egyptian, tapered and compressible feet and used to have my toenails fall off all the time.

Bruised toenails, too, until I got much better-fitting shoes (Grishkos are great for me; Blochs/Capezios terrible). No problems until, stupidly, I decided to forego the wool padding I usually wear last night. Major mistake... hello bloody tights and nasty blisters!

Bunions, blisters, and bruises from my old pointes : ) The new blisters are probably my feet getting used to the new areas that the shoe rubs and will probably turn into calluses.

No issues so far :)

This could be due to the fact that I'm a beginner and we pretty much only do releves, eleves .. etc. Or, that my shoes fit quite well..

Well.... My worst would be blisters. I do have bunions but they don't hurt.

Bruised toenails. No wait, beyond bruised toenails!

I completely killed the toenail on the big toe of my right foot. It was right at the time, the bruised toenail on the big toe of my left foot fell off revealing a nice new nail. I was like, "Great! Another few weeks of a toenail growing out!"

Well, the oaf that I am, I managed to bruise the new toenail underneath the dead, bruised toenail on my right foot! Now I have two dead nails and I do not want to go into details because it is bad. Gross. :P

Looks like I'll be foregoing sandals this summer.

Sigh.

I don't really get blisters anymore because I tape and use toe-pads so I put 'other'

I get broken toenails these days

Agree - broken toenails. Plus, super-tough skin on the tips of my toes, which is useful for pointe (can't feel much!), but doesn't look very pretty in sandals.

Blisters. I was born with bunions so they never hurt.(Just the way my feet are)

As much as I cut my tow nails it doesn't help. On my right foot one of my toes leaves a large dent after pointe class. It really hurts but after I take my shoes off, the dent goes away in 15 minutes. Its very strange.

To specify:

Too thick gel pads that compress my toes too much. I just started having problems recently and think I'm ready to graduate to thinner ones.

Before I had Gaynors though, yikes! In my first pair of pointes I rubbed the knuckles of three of my toes raw and they bled, I still have the scars! And I bruised my big toenail once. And another pair I had was murder on my metatarsals.

But nowadays I have a pretty easy time with them!

I've never really had any problems. Just an occasional blister, but haven't gotten one in years.

It's so hard to get my shoes fitted because of my bunions!!!!!!! The people that fit me always have to bump my shoes.

Hi Reesienpointe!
My suggestion to you is to get "Pro Pads". I had gel pads and during an SI, I switched to "Pro Pads" which are a lot thinner. I found that I could actually feel my toes and the floor. It actually made pointe a lot easier.

Same here! But I wear bunion braces @ night so I dont have much pain. So pretty much as long as I can get the shoes on/around my bunions I'm good (well, as far as fitting my bunions go).

my feet are in such a mess right now haha ^_^ (I think it's time for a new pair of shoes)

I used to have a big problem with blisters before I found the pair of shoes I'm currently using. A blister in the right place can hurt far worse than anything else. But bruised toe nails are the most annoying because you have to wait for the nail to grow out a bit before you can dance on it again xP

I have a bunion on one foot which hurts alot if I don't strap it or wear toe spacers. The other foot has no bunion, which all the shoe fitters dislike cos it makes my feet two different shapes.
