Easter/ANZAC Day long weekend (9am - 5pm, Friday 22/4 - Tuesday 26/4), 35 hour dance intensive with Cera Byer.
During this week of study we will work on ourselves physically, mentally, & emotionally. We will open ourselves up to training in new ways, both in terms of physical practice and mental/emotional approach. Every day will bring a new set of challenges, physical, personal, and creative. We will structure this week 'SMART'ly -
Day 1:
SPECIFICITY - identifying and assessing your technical skill, performance skill, strengths, and impediments toward growth, labeling them, recognizing them, and developing a specific plan for how to address them is key for improvement in any skill. On Day 1, through movement, writing, and discussion, we will hone in on where we're at, where we'd like to go, how we're going to get there, and what might be standing in the way of our progress.
Day 2:
MEASURABLE - how do you know if you're improving? Day 2 is about setting milestones for measurable development, so that you always know whether you're on track.
Day 3:
ATTAINABLE - are my goals attainable? Why/Why not? If not, what needs to change?
Day 4:
REALISTIC - are my goals, plans, and training structures realistic? Why/Why not? If not, what needs to change?
Day 5:
TIME BOUND - to wrap up we will set time-bound check-ins and check-ups for ourselves to make sure we're on track with our training, and develop a follow up group so that we can support each other in the coming year.
