I'm not sure about this but when i was rowing this morning I felt really queasy. I have only been on the water twice and I'm just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this and managed to get past it? I do like the sport otherwise but I don't want to be feeling like I did this morning.

It's not impossible that you experienced motion sickness but, since a rowboat is pretty steady, it's more likely that something you ate disagreed with you.

If it was motion sickness, that's something which will go away on its own if you go boating on a regular basis because your body will adapt. You just have to tough it out past a few sessions of feeling queasy or even throwing up. Motion sickness medications can help.

I only had toast that morning so possibly it was motion sickness. Thanks for your advice with this I think I have found a new sport.

It's not just about eating a big breakfast, make sure you also eat more bland foods, things that will require your stomach to do less work. So stay away from anything spicy or greasy! The more your stomach muscles have to work, the more they will "cramp"

I rowed for 6 years, so I am glad you enjoyed it! You always have to make sure you eat a good breakfast before you go out to row and have plenty of water as well! Try to take a bottle of water with you while you are out rowing as well!
Have fun!
