Hello,
My name is Melissa Ruiz, I am 30 years old and I currently live in Orlando, Fl. I have been dancing for 26 years now and have been teaching and choreographing for the past 12 years. I have studied styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop. I have a great amount of experience with competitive choreography and teaching students of all ages. I am currently seeking schools that are interested in bringing in choreographers for workshops, master classes and competition choreography. I currently teach and direct 4 Hip Hop competition teams and choreograph in Jazz, Lyrical and Contemporary throughout the state of Florida. Outside of the dance studio work, I have previous dance convention teaching experience for “Spotlite”, a dance circuit out of North Carolina. In addition, I have choreographed for Orlando’s National Indoor Football League dance team known as the “Ghost Riders” for their 2006 season. My professional work includes, T.V. Pilot for Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios, opening act for Regina Bell at Hard Rock Live and opening act for TOK, Cuban Link and T-Pain. I have danced for many local artists on the rise and have done performances for McDonalds, Miller Beer and Surf Expo worldwide conventions. Exposing my ability to dance, teach and choreograph in dance schools is my way to spread my knowledge onto dancers that seek to be challenged. Teaching and choreographing are my passion and I truly believe that taking pride in my teaching is just as important as taking pride in my dancing skills. Thank you for your time and I hope you will consider me for the future. |
