so I have always wanted to learn and try cake decorating and using fondant, so here is my first try, it was for a friends birthday who really likes video games. I understand that I am still learning and I know that it is not even close to perfect, but tell me what you guys think!

They look fantastic! I hope you're really proud of them!
The icing looks smooth and cleanly finished, and decorations look good too!
To try and limit any cracking make sure you kneed your icing as much as possible and use your hand to polish out inperfections- the heat from your hand will help massively with this. If that fails, use decorations to cover it up if possible!!
Well done on covering the bases with foil, one thing which instantly improves the overall look af any cake is a covered base. For an even more professional finish cover the board with icing, you can roll out more than you need and cover the cake and board in one go, or cover the board in advance then move the cake onto it once the icing on it has dried for as many days as you can leave it for.
Your piping of words looks fantastic, I'm shocking at writing on cakes and yours looks great!
WELL DONE!
I'm looking forward to seeing more in the future
